Today's highlights included a significant increase in Chiffchaffs (76) and Blackcaps (111), while numbers of other warblers decreased with only three Willow Warblers, 10 Lesser Whitethroats and 24 Whitethroats.
Other birds of note included three Spotted Flycatchers, three Redstarts, four Whinchats, two Yellow Wagtails, two Grey Wagtails, two Tree Pipits, two Short-eared Owls, a Merlin, a Firecrest and up to six Swifts. Siskins continued to move through North with at least 160 counted but probably many more as most were heard only.
