Wildlife sightings from the Bockhill area. We are a small group of East Kent birders who have been enjoying wildlife in the St. Margaret's Bay and Kingsdown area of the White Cliffs since October 1994. Here you will find a record of the fauna and flora of this region of Kent.

Another pleasant day with 105 warblers consisting of four Reed Warblers, a Garden Warbler, three Blackcaps, 31 Whitethroats, 17 Lesser Whitethroats, eight Chiffchaffs, 40 Willow Warblers and on Kingsdown Leas a very fine Wood Warbler Not much else apart from 40 Swifts, a Grey Heron and a Sparrowhawk that was hunting for small birds in the cornfield. Also on Hemp Agrimony on the Leas were at least 100 Peacock Butterflies that outnumbered Red Admirals ten to one, the previous week it was Red Admirals that were the dominant Butterfly.
