The morning started slowly with very few migrant warblers and nothing moving overhead. The only excitement was a Mute Swan that flew down channel only to return North a few minutes later. Things picked up from mid morning when 13 Wigeon flew North over the Bluebird cafe and a Redstart, two Black Redstarts, two Wheatears, a Spotted Flycatcher, a Reed Warbler and two Garden Warblers were found around the Leas and Paddock.
Final warbler scores included 23 Lesser Whitethroats, 10 Whitethroats, 12 Blackcaps but only two Willow Warblers and two Chiffchaffs. Two Whimbrels and a Golden Plover were heard flying over but not seen.
