Wildlife sightings from the Bockhill area. We are a small group of East Kent birders who have been enjoying wildlife in the St. Margaret's Bay and Kingsdown area of the White Cliffs since October 1994. Here you will find a record of the fauna and flora of this region of Kent.

29th August 2018
After an aborted visit this morning due to heavy rain, I returned mid afternoon and walked a short circuit taking in the Paddock, the Leas, Clifftop, Farm Wood and Gun Emplacement. It was fairly birdless until I reached the Freedown, where there were two Redstarts and two Spotted Flycatchers. Warbler numbers seemed low but I managed two Chiffchaffs, two Willow Warblers, five Whitethroats, six Lesser Whitethroats, five Blackcaps and a single Reed Warbler. Brendan
