With the wind in a North Westerly direction it was no surprise that there was an overhead movement of birds coming into the country that included 20 Meadow Pipits, 4 Rock Pipits, 240 Chaffinches, 2 Brambling, 2 Bullfinches, 12 Greenfinches and 60 Siskins. There were also 3 Sparrowhawks, a Red Kite and 24 Buzzards. Elsewhere in the area were 4 Stonechats, 12 Chiffchaffs, a Firecrest and a Chough.
