Phil, Simon and I met in the Bay and from 08:30 - 11:00, with birds moving mainly upchannel, we had 107 Red-throated Divers, 76 Brent Geese and 95 Cormorants north. Birds on the sea were Guillemots, Razorbills and Great Crested Grebes.
Wildlife sightings from the Bockhill area. We are a small group of East Kent birders who have been enjoying wildlife in the St. Margaret's Bay and Kingsdown area of the White Cliffs since October 1994. Here you will find a record of the fauna and flora of this region of Kent.

On a seawatch in the Bay, Jay and I joined by Chris Cox, had good numbers of birds although of few species. Moving north were 68 Brent Geese, 119 Red-throated Divers and 2 Black-throated Divers. Apart from these there were many 100's of Auks on the sea and flying up and down Channel making counts very difficult. It appeared there were probably many more Guillemots than Razorbills.
